Black Widow is relaxing at her
favorite beauty parlor, bragging about her new Alpha Romeo when a Sentinel crashes
in, destroying the car on the way. She dons her outfit and starts shooting the
Sentinel when Rogue (with Captain Marvel’s powers temporarily) enters and destroys
the robotic monster—and then it disappears while they are distracted, which is
a problem since it has a power grid disruptor attached which could black out
the city. They find the two high school guys who created the disruptor and trace
the Sentinel to the top of the Chrysler Building. Nat has a sniper rifle but
she has injured her hand and can’t shoot; Nat kisses Rogue, transferring her
marksman prowess to her and she shoots the thing down.
Later, the two women are at the newly
rebuilt beauty parlor, where Rogue explains that the guys had built the disruptor
as a science project but A.I.M. got their hands on it to use for evil. Their
phones ring with a summons from the Avengers and they both refuse to answer.

Synopsis: Kitty Pryde (with Lockheed) has been invited to
Stark Resilient by Pepper Potts with a possible job offer; Tony Stark shows up
and takes over the interview, interested in her computer expertise. While Tony
is showing her an experiment to repurpose Pym Particles into a weight-loss
method, Kitty sneezes, releasing the Brood, which had been trapped in her head
for months. The monsters begin to grow and terrorize the place; Iron Man joins
Kitty in fighting them but Kitty leads the Brood back to the armor room. The
Brood creatures take control of the armors—and then Kitty phases through them, short-circuiting
them and trapping the Brood inside. Tony decides that having someone with that
ability around could only be a problem.
