At

forcing them to relive their failures. Cap is asking Bucky not to shoot The
Revolution—but he does….

pleads with Sharon Carter to refrain from shooting a villain—but she does,
doing Cap’s dirty work for him….
During
the War, Roger Aubrey, the Destroyer, and Brian Falsworth, Union Jack, confess
their love for one another and then the Nazis burst in and start shooting and
the men escape but are separated….
In
the Gulf War, Nick Fury Jr. is appalled at the senseless waste of life; MODOC
points him to the callous commanders who put soldiers in harm’s way so Fury
decides someone needs to be in charge of them…but MODOC questions whether Fury
is the man for the job….

And
Dryad, Peggy Carter, is revealed to be a double agent, secretly working for the
Outer Circle. This explains why she refused to have Emma Frost search her mind,
as it would have revealed her true allegiance. MODOC informs her that his
largesse has expired and he searches her thoughts, showing her Sharon at 13
being injured by a firework….
The
Power supervises the removal of the neganite reactor from Arnim Zola’s
underground lab. He contacts the new Revolution, Winter Soldier, to gloat over
his victory in the big Game….
The
mind captives are told to begin again but Roger Aubrey refuses, offended that
MODOC has taken on Brian’s face, and he fights back, his treatment by an
abusive father and his rebellion, preparing him to fight. He crashes through
into all of the other controlled minds, freeing them, and assaulting the giant
MODOC and bring him down in reality as well. Roger tells MODOC to inform his
masters that the Invaders are coming. The monster instead summons MODOK, Mental
Organism Designed Only for Killing, and the newcomer fires his beams, burning
Roger Aubrey alive….
