Robbie Baldwin, the former
Speedball, is in a boxing ring, fighting the local bully
Toomey. Robbie surprises everyone by dominating his much larger foe. One of Toomey’s pals slashes Robbie’s leg with a knife and Toomey stomps his foot—which unleashes a blast of energy devastating one end of the room…. Later Robbie is visited by his mother (his father refuses to come) and she pleads with him to accept the deal as she is weighted down by stress of having her son be "the most hated man in America." Robbie again declines and she leaves, saying she will never come back….

Joe, discover that the man had no records anywhere. Dixon speculates he could have been some sort of sleeper agent. Altieri scoffs; she thinks it more likely Joe faked his death for an insurance scam. As firefighters try to move the crowd along, we see that one of the firemen has blue skin beneath his safety gear….
