Civil War: Front Line #7 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Things are going crazy at the Daily Bugle offices after Ben Urich’s story about the Green Goblin being in the employ of Tony Stark and the pro-registration forces. Ben is in Washington to cover Speedball’s address before Congress; while on the phone to Robbie, he sees Speedball shot by a mysterious assailant….

Sally Floyd, in federal custody, is visited by Congressman Sykes, who has come to offer her a deal. He offers her freedom in exchange for listening to him. Sykes reveals that he was a POW in Vietnam and vowed to protect people’s freedoms and he believes the Super-Human Registration Act is the best way to do that. He insists the Act is fine but there are problems with the implementation that he is trying to clear up, a mission she should sympathize with. She realizes that he is right….

At Osborn Industries, Norman Osborn meets with a mysterious visitor, a pro-Registration hero who is plotting to betray his country. He gives Norman a chemical that suppresses the tracking nanites injected into him, allowing him to avoid surveillance, to carry out a mission for his sinister benefactor….
