Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Civil War: Front Line #9 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Captain America tries to explain to Sally Floyd his position against the Super-Human Registration Act but she cuts him off, saying his defense is merely a claim that he’s being a real patriot and the others are not. She leaves because until a short time ago, she would have agreed….

Ben Urich has Spider-Man over to aid him with research. Peter hacks into Stark Industries databases and discovers evidence that Stark is making a profit from the implementation of the Act….

Sally goes out on her date with Detective Danny Granville and they hit it off….

At Avengers Tower, Tony Stark and Reed Richards are investigating Norman Osborn’s shooting of the Atlantean ambassador ("Sleeper Cell" last issue). Reed is concerned about the malfunctioning nanites and Namor’s possible response to the attack when Tony brings him up short with "I know who the traitor is…."

Writer: Paul Jenkins. Penciler: Steve Lieber. Inker: Steve Lieber. Colorist: June Chung.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

After his recovery from a gunshot wound (inflicted in issue #6), Robbie Baldwin, the former Speedball, is transferred to the Raft, a prison for superhuman offenders. Other inmates distract the guards so Razor-Fist can seize Robbie through the bars as Diamondhead overpowers the guards. Justine Hammer uses a hidden bit of her Crimson Cowl cloak to teleport out of her cell and open the adamantium doors. Several inmates make a break for it and the guards open fire, heedless of Robbie’s hostage status. To force him along, Razor Fist applies some pain to Robbie—whose new powers are thereby unleashed, clobbering all of the convicts. Guards find Robbie in his cell unharmed and wanting to sign the Registration Act….
