Fear Itself: The Fearless #7 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Long ago in Asgard, when Brunnhilde was chosen to be a Valkyrie, one of Odin’s shieldmaidens, she was met by the Warriors Three. After some good-natured joshing, they presented her with the Golden Apples of Idunn, known for their healing properties. Recently in New York City at the height of the Fear, she entered a hospital, an, standing by the bed of a critically injured police officer, she gave six of the Golden Apples to a doctor with instructions on how to distribute the slices among the wounded….

At Project Pegasus, the Avengers are locked in a soul-shattering combat with the forces of the Department of Occult Armaments and their demonic support. As Mockingbird guards his inert body, Doctor Strange takes off in his astral form to learn what is happening. He soon discovers the DOA’s device but also knows that it would be heavily guarded by mystical means. Valkyrie arrives and Strange guides her to destroy the infernal machine. Back at the Project, the demons vanish and the Avengers finally have victory in view….

In the room housing the Hammer of Greithoth, the fight between Wolverine and Crossbones is brutal and bloody. As Logan stands triumphant over his disembowled foe, the Son of Satan appears—and immolates Wolverine with his trident. Healing the mortally wounded Crossbones, he claims the hammer and joins Sin. He then fires a blast of Hellfire at his surprised allies, and departs. As he explains to Sin that aiding Sin in her recovery of the hammers supports his own agenda for the moment. Valkyrie and Dr. Strange arrive too late to stop the villains….
