The
Hood has an initial meeting with new gang members at a sketchy warehouse. One
of those in attendance is Hawkeye/Clint Barton, who, the moment he is
recognized, starts fighting everybody. Clint takes down almost everybody and
sends an arrow into the tire of the villain’s getaway vehicle. When the Hood
goes after Hawkeye with his guns, the police are waiting….
Clint
goes to court where he witnesses a judge being touch on all of the Hood’s
henchmen…and then he learns the Hood himself was released with an apology on
orders from the Mayor. Clint dashes outside and intercepts the Hood before he
can drive away. The two have a conversation wherein Clint reiterates his desire
to take Hood down and Hood reminds him that Clint is a vigilante, the both of
them operating outside of society. Clint threatens violence, Hood shows his demonic
form and threatens worse. Their cat and mouse game continues…but who is the
cat…?
Clint
goes home to his new girlfriend Linda Carter the Night Nurse but he ruins a
sexy evening because he can’t stop thinking about the Hood….
The
following night, two vans full of Federal agents are waylaid by Ronin who wrecks
the vans, beats the agents, and steals the briefcase they were delivering….
The
next day, Clint is relaxing at an outdoor café when Redwing drops a bit of
guano on his jacket. Falcon and Winter Soldier arrive to question him as to
whether he was the Ronin as the other three people to have worn the costume
have been ruled out. Clint is miffed that they think it was him and he mentions
he will be going out on a mission that night and the other two insist on
joining him….
That night, the three heroes are on a rooftop
watching one of the Hood’s hangouts. Suddenly Ronin assaults the gang members
and the guys swoop down to question him but Ronin takes advantage of the three
heroes getting in each other’s way and delivers a mild beating before escaping.
Clint says to Bucky, “Told you it wasn’t me. “
