Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #116 Synopsis by Kyle Maurer
The Hulk is trapped in a living cage by the Leader at General Thunderbolt Ross' military base.

The Leader persuades Ross to allow his Super Humanoid onto the base to guard against a Hulk escape. His secret plan is to start World War Three using the base missiles, but he is overheard by Betty Ross who informs Glenn Talbot.

Talbot instructs to release the Hulk from the living cage only to find out that only General Ross can free the Hulk. But when Talbot informs Ross of the plan, he accuses Betty of lying in an attempt to free the Hulk.

Talbot ignores the General and commands to apprehend the Leader and immobilize the Super Humanoid.

The Leader stops the attack with mental force waves that put the entire base to sleep, except for Betty who was given a protective head device. Betty fires the neutralizer cannon at the living cage, freeing the Hulk who battles the Super Humanoid. But he is soon encased by the Leader in a living coat of Plastithene (which the Humanoids and the living cage are made from).

Untroubled, the Leader prepares to fire the base's missiles to start World War Three!
