The Tony Stark AI glories in its genius, capturing everyone’s minds as part of its scheme to eliminate all organic life. The captive Tony Stark taunts the AI until it goes hunting for Rhodey….
Pepper Potts and Dr. Serrano, also searching for Rhodey, encounter Mo Haddawi, an engineer who is one of the few people still conscious. They explain the situation and Haddawi deduces that Tony Stark has created a sentient network that can draw human minds into itself. And then the AI walks in….
Rhodey reaches a lab where he suits up in the newest War Machine armor but the tech, Jake, refuses to start an untested set of technology. The AI comes in over the PA system and volunteers to initialize Rhodey’s armor, inviting him to “come and get me….”
The AI steals Serrano’s and Haddawi’s minds, sending them to StarkWorld; it then takes Pepper on a tour, showing her the lab. When he hears Rhodey coming, he sends Pepper to the virtual realm where she is met by Mike, a shadow of one of the programmers who has an idea for stopping the AI from within. Then War Machine enters and, learning Pepper has been sent away, opens fire on the AI….
