War of the Realms: War Scrolls #3 Review by (June 19, 2019)

Review: The cover image of Kingpin beating up on Malekith does not take place in the story; Kingy doesn't appear at all and whatever he was doing in issue #2 has been forgotten. No, it just some more of Jason Aaron's anti-religious sentiments pretending to wrap up the story. The Doctor Doom tale is more a mood piece than a narrative, demonstrating that uneasy lies the head that wears a crown. The final story is quite entertaining even though it fails to pass the Bechdel Test but the serious talk about relationships and warrior' faces is told with quite a bit of humor which the artwork emphasizes.

Comments: The third story is set just after Freyja's party arrives in Svartalfheim in WOTR #3. Revealed: Punisher is a fan of Joni Mitchell and Blade likes Miles Davis and Beyonce.

Jen turns into She-Hulk and while they are pursuing the dragon, she has the courage to tell Freyja about herself and Thor. As they converse on the topic they are attacked by the dragon and Shulkie punches its lights out, yelling “Women are talking!” Freyja, deciding that Jen and Thor are a lot alike gives her blessing to the relationship. Blade and Punisher crawl out of the dragon just as Dark Elves attack and the battle begins....
