Bruce Banner arrives in a small Midwestern town where a
little girl, nine-year-old Rebecca Green, has gone missing—which as followed by
a grisly murder and a monster sighting. Avoiding the news media types flocking
to the city, Bruce follows a gamma trail to a government-run experimental farm
with a ruined fence. He is caught by Rebecca’s suspicious father who calls the
sheriff. Despite his claims that he wants to help, he is beaten up and thrown
in jail. As the sun sets, Bruce tries to warn the deputy to let him out, that
there is a real monster out there. He turns into Hulk and breaks out, coming
across the gravely wounded sheriff. He questions the Sheriff about the farm and
then steps on him. As he walks through the fields, Hulk is attacked by a huge
pinkish monster with claws and a spiked face. Hulk subdues the creature and
absorbs the gamma radiation from it, revealing Rebecca Green. He gives the girl
back to her father and tells him to take her far away. Hulk invades the lab and
discovers that they have been experimenting with using gamma radiation to
increase crop yields. The staffers plead for mercy but when Hulk discovers they
had kidnapped Rebecca to use as a Guinea pig, he tears the place—and its
occupants—apart. The next day Bruce tells Mr. Green to take her away as once
they find out what she is they will never leave her alone. The most one can hope
for is that we not face the evil alone. And Bruce walks off as one who no
longer has hope….
