Marvel Spotlight: Captain America Remembered #1 Review by (May 14, 2012)
Review: A pleasant surprise: instead of the usual rehearsal of Cap’s career (WW2, frozen in ice, Avengers, etc.) this was a retrospective of Captain America as a comic character. We’re taken behind the scenes for a series of interviews and profiles of the creators, looking at their different takes on the Living Legend of World War 2 and seeing their emphases and concerns (which are generally downplayed or ignored in standard character bios) for a bit of inside information. Sure the issue is weighed heavily toward the Brubaker era to tie it in with the Death of Cap event but the Englehart, Stern, and Gruenwald pieces are a nice balance.

Comments: One-shot, published in the wake of the highly publicized “Death of Captain America.”
