Synopsis

Hulk: Broken Worlds #2 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

The leaders of the rebellion against Apocalypse are gathered in a spaceship under fire outside Earth’s orbit. The heroes are Tony Stark, Gwen Stacy, Victor von Doom, and Bruce Banner. They hand command of the fleet to Sue Storm while they plan to divert the enemy missiles from them in a suicide mission so that the rest of the fleet can land on Earth. They manage to draw the missiles into space where they explode—all but one. Banner  recognizes that one as a gamma bomb which he created while still in service to Apocalypse. He transforms into Gray Hulk, leaps out of the ship and rides the bomb away where it explodes. He plummets to Earth and crashes in the Coliseum where he rises as a larger green-skinned Hulk….

He smashes through a Sentinels head and lands in a mail truck. He visits Betty’s grave at the cemetery where he surrenders to the soldiers when they come for him. Back at the camp he tells Darby that he dropped the diary for Amanda in the mail truck when he landed in it.

Hulk: Broken Worlds #2 Review by (March 15, 2022)

Review: Another look at what Hulk is doing in various alternate worlds in Marvel’s Multiverse. All the stories are well done and the last is quite moving, a vignette of love and desperation. The other three fit nicely into their contexts, showing Bruce/Hulk’s heroic qualities in epic new contexts. And Mangaverse is a very offbeat side world.

Comments: The Age of Apocalypse is Earth-295. Mangaverse is Earth-2301. 1602 is Earth-311. Days of Future Past is Earth-811.
