Avengers, The (1963 series) #24

In this issue Kang thinks to himself that the Avengers don't realise he is related to Dr Doom. In Fantastic Four #19 in ancient Egypt villain Rama Tut told the FF that he came from the 30th Century using a time machine he found in ruins belonging to an ancestor. In Avengers #8 Kang told the Avengers he was Rama Tut. While returning to the 30th Century he had overshot, and conquered the desolate 40th Century Earth as Kang. Somewhere between then and now he has conquered the whole galaxy. Meanwhile in FF Annual #1 Rama Tut had met Dr Doom, and revealed that he was the ancestor whose time machine he was using. Kang confirmed that Doom was his ancestor in his private musings in Avengers #11. Note that these dates are commonly accepted, and this summary ignores some conflicting statements that Rama Tut came from the 25th Century and Kang was based in the 30th Century. I also ignore the waffle in FF Annual #1 that Rama Tut and Dr Doom might be the same man. However later comics, starting from FF#273, will amend this story to say that Rama Tut/Kang originated in the future of an alternate Earth, and that the ancestor with the time machine was Nathaniel Richards, father of Mr Fantastic. Ravonna isn't dead. Her future will begin to unfurl in #69, where it is revealed that Kang holds her in suspended animation until he can revive her. From there she will move on to multiple alternate universe copies whose fate is intertwined with Kang and Immortus.
