Natasha meets her handler who tells her that the Comienzas are of no use to Russia, the Red Room is doing Castro a favor by finding out why the Americans are interested in them. Once they learn that, Natasha is to kill the Comienzas but not their child. And Marina is not to assist….

Natasha arranges with Marina to set up a meeting with the Comienzas in Plaza Vieja. Marina takes Nat to meet her boyfriend Luis, who, despite her denials, she seems to genuinely care for. Black Widow (2014 series) #20 Review by (December 16, 2025)

Review: So…with some gratuitous tie-ins to the vaguely defined SECRET WARS, just to remind us Nat is a hero. And we discover what her dirty deed was: she killed her friend on orders from the Red Room, a cute and likeable gal who wasn’t cut out to be a Soviet killer. Very well done…until she shoots the cat which almost turns the whole thing into a comedy. Nevertheless, this is a moving story with the ideal art of Phil Noto, blending realism and a certain dreaminess. It’s hard to explain but there it is. And the art carries the story along when it isn’t that interesting, mainly trading on shock value.

Comments: Cover title is LAST DAYS OF BLACK WIDOW. Part two of two parts. The SECRET WARS III event is the context of the modern-day sections.
