Story
continued from CAPTAIN AMERICA: COLD WAR ALPHA #1.
The
four heroes are in Alaska fighting the militia: Captain America (Sam Wilson),
Captain America (Steve Rogers), Misty Knight, and Sharon Carter. Sam Cap tells
Steve Cap that no matter what Bucky Barnes thinks he is doing, releasing White
Wolf from prison and giving him the Phrox army makes him a bad guy and he must
go down. Steve agrees so, while the two women fight the milia groups known as
the Tithed, the two Caps take on the Phrox generals. The battle devastates the
ground and suddenly, Sharon falls into a hidden mine shaft; Misty jumps in
after her, radioing the Caps as to what happened. Steve Cap arrives and goes into
the shaft, followed by Sam Cap. The mine shaft collapses, sealing them all in.
At the bottom of the shaft, the heroes discover people, refugees from the town above
that was destroyed by the Tithed. Steve Cap tells Sam Cap that rescuing Bucky
is no longer their priority: they must go to Dimension Z to stop the invasion
at its source….
Meanwhile
in Dimension Z, Ian Rogers is a prisoner in a cell that resembles a child’s
bedroom. Bucky Barnes is trying to make him feel like he is an exile newly
returned home and wants to know if Ian would fix his home dimension if he
could. Bucky walks away and suddenly he is seized by Black Widow, who holds a
knife to his throat and demands he tell her everything….
