Youth in Revolt Finale

Synopsis

Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #6 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4.5 stars

Telemetry holds the force box with Gravity, Firestar, and Hardball inside to keep the fault matrix stable…and it’s running out of air. Topside, Thor Girl has clobbered Prodigy and then she starts to go through a change. Cloud 9 and Komodo ask her to make peace with Prodigy. Her eyes glowing, she quickly subdues his backup heroes and demands an explanation. He avers that her imprisonment was just for show, that he had no idea anyone was intending to torture her. She does not believe him and, tossing away her hammer and crown, she becomes a frightening glowing being; her friends try to calm her down, including Ultragirl, and she repels them, doing the same with those who try to attack her. As she assumes a godlike form—the Designate—she rebukes and denounces humanity for its fears and other foibles, pronouncing them not yet worthy. So, she ascends into the sky and to space, bringing the force box out of the ground as she goes, saving the four heroes within. All the heroes look to Prodigy for what comes next and he leads them to the rescue, to prove her wrong….

Several heroes reflect on their experiences, each one having learned something by what they have undergone. Prodigy meets with Steve Rogers who has reassumed the mantle of Captain America and is commended for his achievements. Cap tells him that the two federal agents hold no grudges and want to see him about a promotion…and then they show him to a bigger warehouse of files to organize….
