Synopsis

Hulk: Smash Everything (2026 series) #2 synopsis by reviewer Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

The Leader has sent Hulk back to prehistoric Earth moments before the asteroid extinction event. The rock hits the Earth where Hulk is standing and he survives, in agony from his burning flesh which continues to regenerate. “What doesn’t kill him only makes him angrier.” The first living creatures Hulk comes upon are proto-rats, feasting on a dinosaur’s corpse. Hulk is so angry that the begins to smash the rats, an effect which reverberates to the Leader in the far future. Doom’s time platform tries to protect itself from the changes to the timeline. Leader is surprised to find Hulk has survived and is destroying the very creatures that would evolve into mammals over the millennia. Leader sets the time platform to take him back to a few moments before Hulk smashes the rats and buries the platform under a layer of dirt. Hulk arrives and attack the Leader, who taunts him, luring him onto the time platform and sending to an inescapable destination: the black hole at the center of the galaxy….

Hulk: Smash Everything (2026 series) #2 Review by (January 20, 2026)

Review: How strong is Hulk? Every few years some even greater event tries to set an upper limit on his power, the classic one being Hulk holding up an entire mountain with his back in the original SECRET WARS. This issue might be the extreme: Hulk survives the extinction event that killed the dinosaurs. But come back next time as it looks like issue #3 will top #2, leaving me to wonder what is going to happen in issues #4 and 5. And here I was just assuming Hulk was going to fight the Marvel Universe like everybody else. I’d like to see Punisher or Deadpool come back from a black hole. The epic art makes this a spectacle to treasure.
