She-Hulk Jen Waters is at a law school
reunion in Las Vegas when she spots bouncer Joe Fixit whom she
recognizes as her supposedly dead cousin Bruce Banner a/k/a the Hulk.
Joe brushes off Jen and gets a call from the boss about trouble. A
pair of mutant crooks, Tantrum (super-strength) and Discordia
(telekinesis), are on a crime spree and they are trashing the casino.
Jen joins Joe as the battle the baddies, Tantrum relishing the
battle, which he considers a gift from the Gods of Chaos. As Tantrum
tries to persuade Joe to embrace chance and chaos, Bruce's mind goes
back to the birth of the Hulk, which would seem to be the definition
of chance. Joe's mind rebels (against Bruce Banner!) and he insists
it was destiny not chance and he beats Tantrum into the ground.
Shulkie, having overcome Discordia, stops Joe from killing Tantrum.
Jen goes off with a good-looking guy and Joe Fixit mutters over the
close call of her recognizing him.
