Hulk Vs. Fin Fang Foom (2008 series) #1

Hulk is walking wearily in the middle of Antarctica. He recounts how the army never tires of hunting him. He says ultimately, he too tires and hungers before collapsing and reverting back to Bruce Banner.

Elsewhere two scientists Dr. Carpenter and Dr. Chen are working when they notice a huge fossil frozen below the surface they’re standing on. Carpenter yells at Chen to leave and call the others. As he fantasizes the new fossil being named after him, it awakes and breaks loose.

Meanwhile, Banner recovers and meets his benefactors- Doctors Jane, Howard and Carl. He introduces himself as Bruce Ross when Chen barges in and tells them of the new find. They rush back to find a very vague Carpenter sans the fossil.

Back at the camp, Jane tells Bruce that the army will be arriving in the morning when they hear a scream. They hurry out to see Carpenter dead and a miniature Fin Fang Foom eating his way outta Howard. Fin Fang Foom (Foom from hereon) recounts his battle with Thor millennia ago and how he just nearly evaded his coup de grace. Unconscious, he fell into the frozen river to hibernate and recuperate. He says now he shall feed on them all to fully recuperate. Just then Banner- who’s now the Hulk- smashes Foom outta the camp. Foom commends Hulk on his strength and asks him to join him. Hulk, saying that Earth isn’t big enough for the two of them, hurls Foom with all his power to the moon. The ingrate Doctors come out and yell at Hulk. Hulk quietly departs.
