Synopsis

Incredible Hulk (2000 series) #106 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 4 stars

Boy genius Amadeus Cho (a.k.a. Mastermind Excello) picks up Jen Walters (a.k.a. the She-Hulk) from a remote spot in New Jersey—right where Iron Man left her after their brutal clash, having neutralized her powers with nanobot inhibitors.

Amadeus has a mission: convince She-Hulk to stand with her cousin when the Hulk returns to Earth. But Jen hesitates. She knows the Hulk can be a hero… but also a monster.

Meanwhile, Reed Richards—tracking the kid’s every move (though Amadeus is well aware)—dispatches Doc Samson to intercept them. Big mistake. She-Hulk takes Samson down with ease, especially after learning he helped exile the Hulk in the first place.

Amadeus retreats to a nearby hilltop, where he’s greeted by two unexpected allies: Hercules and Angel, former members of the Champions—ready to help the Hulk.

> *Flashback:* Years ago, the Champions clashed with the Hulk on a highway, thinking he was on a rampage. In truth, he was rushing to save his cousin Jen, who was suffering from a ruptured appendix. The Hulk got her to a hospital just in time. That day, the Champions saw a different side of the green goliath—and began to question everything they thought they knew.

Incredible Hulk (2000 series) #106 Review by (February 15, 2010)
Iron Man took She-Hulk's powers away in SHu#18. Julio neglected to mention that Amadeus Cho slips Jennifer Walters an antidote to the nanobots, which turns her back into She-Hulk to fight Doc Samson. He planned every bit of this meeting, and manipulated the players into their roles. He could have given her a permanent cure, but he only gave her a temporary one because he didn't know whose side she'd be on. At the end of this issue She-Hulk reverts to Jen. In World War Hulk Prologue: World Breaker Jen will meet Samson again, specifically referring back to this issue and saying says she's stuck being human. In Avengers: Initiative #4 Dr Strange will recruit her for the war against the Hulk, and Iron Man will say he's restored her powers. He'll let her keep them for the duration of WWH. She'll eventually sue him to get them back permanently in SHu#20.
