Synopsis

The Metal Master, a humanoid alien being from planet Astra, wants to conquer the Earth. Thunderbolt Ross and his men try, but can’t do much against the villain’s magnetic power.

Bruce Banner fights him like the Hulk, but when he uses the gamma ray machine, his body turns into the Hulk but not his head.

To keep his secret identity, Banner wears a Hulk mask and confronts the Metal Master. But the villain knocks the Hulk out by hitting him on the neck with a metallic object (!).

Thunderbolt Ross locks the Hulk in an extra-strong cell, but the Hulk escapes.

The Teen Brigade, a group lead by Rick Jones, goes to the Hulk’s aid. He builds a non-metallic weapon the Metal Master panics about and leaves the Earth, promising never to come back.

Finally, Banner and Betty Ross go out on their 1st date, although her father does not approve his daughter’s feeling for the “spineless milksop” Banner.

Incredible Hulk #6 Review by (February 15, 2010)
Although the Hulk was caught off-guard by the Metal Master, it seems unbelievable that the Hulk was actually knocked out by such an attack. This is the final issue of the first run of The Incredible Hulk comic book. It is the first time that Betty Ross and Bruce Banner display mutual affection in front of Thunderbolt Ross.

Incredible Hulk #6 Review by (March 15, 2010)
When Banner triggers the transformation into the Hulk, his body changes but not his face! Hulk needs to put on a Hulk mask to save his secret identity.

Hulk acknowledges that he cannot fly, something he was able to do in some of the previous issues.

At the end of the story, it takes some time for the gamma rays to turn Hulk into Banner.
