Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #44 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
At the organization's chambers, agents S-1 and S-2 are talking with their superior. S-1 tells his plan to find Banner: use Doc Samson to do the job. To do so, his men picked Samson up from outside the cafe (after he was attacked and left unconsciouss by Sandra Verdugo). They took Samson to a lab, and implanted a state-of-the-art micro-camara in his right eye. With it, they can monitor every step, and find Banner. Samson was later returned to the original spot outside the cafe, so he would not suspect a thing. As they talk, Doc Samson wakes up, and walks towards his lab. Whatever Samson sees, agents S-1 and S-2 watch. In his way to the lab, Doc Samson finds Verdugo and Slater's graves, and see that one is now empty. S-1 explains that Verdugo is alive, not Slater, since she went through a special process he calls H Section programming. When Doc Samson arrived at his lab, he is "attacked" with water guns by Kevin and his friends. Samson uses his tools to create a device capable of sending emails to Banner's laptop. That laptop in theory, could communicate with its kind only. But Samson manages to do it. And Banner cannot believe his eyes when he receives a message from Samson. Leonard asks Banner to meet him at the desert town of Motherload, Colorado. Then, Samson waves at Kevin and falls to sleep. S-1 orders his men to move to the area at once. Samson wakes up from his nap, and departs. Banner walks to their meeting point, and finds Samson insicde a bar. Soon after, S-1 agents make their entrance fully equiped, ready to kill Samson, and provoke Banner to get the Hulk. But the S-1 agents only find a TV set showing Doc Samson and Banner waving at them. Few seconds later, dynamite trashes the place to pieces. Doc Samson explains Banner that the blast could not have killed them. S-1 cannot understand what happened. And his supervisor explains it to him: Doc Samson discovered that a micro-camara was implanted in his right eye since all of a sudden, he had perfect vision. He always had astigmatism. To trick the organization, Doc Samson simulated a nap, and covered his right eye with a patch. Samson went to Motherload, took the sign on the entrance of Motherload, and planted on another deserted town. Samson came back to his lab, and told Banner to meet him on that other town instead. He then took his patch off, and simulated waking up. S-1 is killed for his mistake with a high voltage discharge. Agent S-3, a beatiful dark hair woman, is assigned to replace him.
