Irredeemable Ant-Man #10 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Eric O’Grady, the new Ant-Man, is working undercover for Damage Control in the guise of Slaying Mantis. When the news of Hulk’s invasion breaks, his girlfriend the Visioneer (Abigail Dunton), realizing her empathic powers would be useless, elects to flee the city, while the muscular Monstro decides to stay and fight. After seeing Abigail and her son to safety, Eric returns to Monstro’s side. The Hulk descends from his ship, destroying the building where Ant-Man and Monstro are waiting, and heads off. Monstro is incapacitated by his injuries so Ant-Man goes it alone against the Hulk. Realizing he can’t damage the Hulk from without, he tries within. He enters Hulk’s mouth and descends to Jade Jaws’ stomach, where he discovers he can’t even make the Hulk aware that he’s there, much less harm him. Eric leaves the way he came in to the shocking discovery that he is between Hulk and Iron Man. The force of the titanic clash hurls Ant-Man through the air, knocking him unconscious on the sidewalk. Eric awakens in the hospital, where SHIELD agents place him under arrest.
