Photon and the new Beyonder board Starfox’s starship and after introductions are made and Starfox’s panic at the arrival of the Beyonder is quelled, Monica explains her problem. The good news is that the “tumult” wrecking reality has not reached this part of space yet; the bad news is that it is coming, leading to the total destruction of the universe. So she asks him to uncover her unmet desire that is causing the disaster. He hooks her up to the supercomputer I.S.A.A.C. and the Beyonder suddenly vanishes, implying that the divides have found her again. Monica is taken back through her career as Captain Marvel, always wanting to prove herself to everyone. But that is what others want. And Monica reveals that her deepest desire is to know that she can’t do everything—and that is enough. And the crisis freezes at the moment before her epiphany. She finds herself back aboard her boat the Willie Mae. She calls Caleb and asks if she can stop by to see him. He agrees but asks her not to do the instantaneous thing, to give him half an hour. And that’s okay for her….
