Mortal Thor, The (2025 series) #2

We begin with Kristin Seok at home, working on a painting of Thor the Norse god fighting a dragon, having, like many others, sensed something missing in the world. Lukki brings the injured Sigurd Jarlson to her and then takes off down the hall. Sigurd declines to go to the hospital as he can’t afford it, asking for needle and thread to sew up the knife wound himself. He spots a drawing of himself and learns Kris is an artist. Sigurd stitches the wound while relating the scene at the Roxxon recruiting center and the subsequent fight in the alley. Kris wonders if he has had medical training, considering the expert job he did of stitching his head wound. Sigurd searched one of the defeated goons and discovered the name of a bar he hangs out at and asks Kris for a drill and elastic cord….

Sigurd travels to the Rough House bar where the leader of the motorcycle gang is angry that two of the goons, Big Ed and Gus, were sent to the hospital by Jarlson while one guy, Kevin, ran away. As he threatens Kevin with a gun for his cowardice, he announces they are going to teach Jarlson a lesson about Thor, God of Strength, by killing his family and friends. Then Sigurd walks in and beats everyone bloody with his hammer attached to a bungee cord to return it to his hand, all the while lecturing how the real Thor is a protector, not a bully. The gang leader fires a pistol at Sigurd, who swings his hammer in such a way that the bullet is deflected back at the gunman. As he leaves, he orders the one conscious goon to tell them all to change their lives or he will be back….

The Roxxon foreman then calls in someone who will be able to defeat Sigurd Jarlson: a serpent themed gang led by a suave executive type named Blake….
