Synopsis
General Ryker finds himself whisked in a helicopter to a northern Canadian wilderness battle site involving the Hulk against the mutant Wolverine (see comments). Shortly after arriving, General Ryker learns that the Hulk was cut by the Weapon X solider. Ryker is successful in obtaining samples of the Hulk's blood.
Back in the present, the Hulk and his war bound find themselves under attack. Choosing to handle the situation on his own, the Hulk prevents the missile from hitting the stone ship. The explosion sends the Hulk hard to the ground. The real battle commences with pink Humanoids forming and attacking the Hulk. With sword in hand, the Hulk makes short work of the Humanoids who were just as a diversion: The Gamma Corps bring the fight to the Hulk, each one attacking the Hulk’s neck for a single tactical purpose!
In flashbacks of John Ryker’s life, his wife is cured of cancer. Mrs. Ryker now infused with gamma cells starts to feel the side effects of the Hulk's blood. Her cancer resurfaces and the Hulk’s blood begins to transform her into a hideous monster. With her body stored in a life chamber, Ryker discovers an ugly truth: He must break his solemn promise to his wife and capture the Hulk to save his wife's life.
The fight with the Gamma Corps rages on. Field leader Grey emerges behind the Hulk who in turn is slowly turning gray. Grey reveals that while he was fighting the Humanoids, the Hulk was infected with a toxin made from his own DNA that weakens the Hulk to "gray Hulk" power levels. Thus, Grey was able to snap the Hulk’s neck and leave him for dead. General Ryker looks on with a smile on his face.
