Professor X didn’t attend the meeting where the Illuminati declared to cast the Hulk into space. Shortly after arriving to the planet, the Hulk appears at the X-Men mansion demanding, badly mannered, to see Xavier. X-Men rookies attack the strongest one there is and fail miserably. Big league X-Men arrive next, but before an epic fight starts, Professor X appears, and mentally shows to everyone why the Hulk is so upset.

Hulk faces the telepath and asks: “How would you have voted?”

This series takes place during the events told on World War Hulk #1 while the Hulk is waiting for a 24-hour deadline. Prof X wasn’t with the Illuminati when they elected to send him into space because he was missing after the House of M event. A flashback that occurred after the Civil War event shows us how Tony Stark tells Xavier what they did.
