The Avengers and the X-Men have sent teams to the Savage Land looking for Hope Summers. Captain America has come to the conclusion that she's not here and contacted Iron Man back at base.
But Gambit isn't going to let him give up without a fight and he hurls some of his trademark charged-up playing cards at him. Cap dodges their explosions and throws his shield. Remy LeBeau dodges *that* but grabs and charges *it* up and throws it back at him. Steve Rogers dodges *that* and it explodes on a tree behind him. They close in to grapple. Cap breaks Remy's vaulting pole but Gambit uses a hand to charge up the front of Steve's chainmail shirt which explodes on him. But when the smoke clears he's dismayed to see Cap's supersoldier body has survived, and he's also retrieved his indestructible adamantium/vibranium shield. Which repels more exploding cards and a high-kick until Steve gets close enough to KO Remy with 1 punch to the jaw.
Cap then gets a message from someone telling him where Hope has *really* gone. He relays it to Tony Stark and asks him to dig out his spare uniform.

Synopsis
Daredevil, Mockingbird, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman have gone Latveria looking for Hope and they've had to fend off lots of Doombots. Spidey senses X-foes and DD detects only 3 heartbeats so he leaves the others for a fair fight while he continues looking. SW takes on Dazzler while Mocky heads for an unseen opponent. And this leaves SM to face Colossus possessed by Cyttorak to make him the current Juggernaut.
Spidey as usual relies on quips and agility against steel fists, and in this case web fluid in the eyes and around the feet. But the sound of 2 hands clapping sends him reeling and a fastball special smashes him into a building. Then they throw pieces of Doombots at each other. But 1 punch that connects has Spidey down again. Piotr Rasputin begs him to surrender before he loses control of his Juggernaut side. But Peter Parker refuses to give up (it's the old 'with great power comes great responsibility' schtick). Then DD pops back to say Hope's not here and they leave.
