Fantastic Four / Iron Man: Big in Japan #4 Synopsis by T Vernon
As the Apocalypse Beast heads toward Monster Island, Reed Richards, Thing, and Human Torch of the Fantastic Four and Iron Man reach the island first to discover that all of the monsters have gone berserk. Underground, they discover the Moloids sitting in ranks, looking like they are doing yoga and waiting. They have been guarding mysterious machines underground and the Beast is coming to destroy them all….

Inside the Beast, Iron Man and Invisible Woman are attacked by some kind of toothy worms and escape by entering the bloodstream which sweeps them away. In the brain, Sue gets too close to the neurons and has a vision of the Beast’s entire life-cycle—and it’s angry….

The Beast arrives and Reed suddenly realizes that Monster Island isn’t a volcano but a giant syringe, powered by a crude steam engine; Johnny burns his way down to reach the water far below. While Thing fights off a monster that has been disturbed, Johnny goes super-nova and Reed activates the device, injecting the Moloids into the Beast. The creatures act as a virus, infecting the Beast which morphs into a different form and leaps into space. Mole Man wonders what will becomes of his Moloids….

In the year 12425 A.D., a Moloid couple, knowing that their world is doomed, put their baby Noah into a small rocket and fire him out through the pores….
