Melita Garner witnesses the destruction of Avengers Tower while pursuing the hijacked Helicarrier….

Aboard the Prometheus, Wolverine is chained to a nuclear warhead. S.T.R.I.K.E. boss Sutton is preparing to drop the nuke but Brom balks, since he is a soldier, not a terrorist, but the others in the team call him a coward. After Sutton leaves, Harrow tells Brom about Bexley’s suspicion that Sutton is insane. On the bridge, Bexley confronts Sutton and Sutton fatally stabs him, boasting of the destruction the nuke is going to make. Wolverine, chained to the nuke, tries to persuade Harrow and Brom that Sutton is a psychopath and they will be branded as terrorists with him. Sutton then enters and confesses that they had been working for him all along, while mentioning that he has killed the prisoners. Harrow attacks him and Brom frees Logan just as Sutton shoots Harrow. Logan tells Brom to get Harrow to safety and remains to face Sutton. The villain continues to talk like a villain and goes to press the button, releasing the nuke. Logan slices Sutton’s hand off but it’s too late the bomb is falling; Logan leaps atop it and as it plummets to the ground, he neatly defuses it so there is only a loud crash….

Logan and Melita reunite. She asks him where he learned how to disarm a nuke and he replies, “Wikipedia.” Sutton is taken away in an ambulance and a woman from Black Air assures him that his employers will take care of him. Logan and Melita go off together….

Review: See full review at issue #1.

Comments: Black Air is another British-centered government agency; the woman involved is Michelle Scicluna, boss of Black Air; this is the final appearance to date of Scicluna and Sutton, Black Air still appearing in a few EXCALIBUR issues. John Lucas contributed to the inking, Rachelle Rosenberg and Chris Sotomayor to the coloring. Issue includes a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, a reprint from MOMENT OF SILENCE.
