The Incredible Hulk #181: After the Hulk and Wolverine defeated the Wendigo, Wolverine attacked the Hulk. Focusing all of his attacks on the Hulk’s neck, Wolverine kills him.

Some time later, Wolverine kills a civilian in a bar fight. Escaping from the police, Magneto asks him to join his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Logan accepts for a lack of better options.

Wolverine infiltrates the X-Men team to gain their trust. He disbands Cerebro and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants attacks Professor X’s mansion. Meanwhile, Wolverine fell in love with Jean Gray, so he asked Magneto to keep her safe. But during the battle, they target Jean Gray too. Wolverine betrays his team and joins forces with the X-Men to defeat the Brotherhood. And Wolverine fatally wounded Magneto. But right before his passing, Magneto controlled Wolverine’s claws to stab himself, causing his death as well.
