Then: David Colton underwent the super-soldier procedure, proud to serve his country. He was surprised to find Doctor Saraf did not share this view; while he and his family of immigrants appreciated the opportunities America offered, he was aware that at any moment the political winds could turn against them. Dave and his fellow volunteer Chuck were told that their first test mission would be on American soil….

Now: Nuke has blown up Dave Colton’s cabin. Wolverine finds the critically injured Teri O’Barnes under Captain America’s shield. Nuke’s backup arrives and Logan carries Teri to safety, brining the shield too. Colton sets off booby traps to slow the bad guys down as they escape into the woods….

Then: Accompanied by a squad of soldiers who do not appreciate having them along, Dave and Chuck head to a motel where terrorist Khalid al-Omar is hiding. The mission goes wrong, Omar escapes, the two super-soldiers pursue….

Now: Logan and Teri board Colton’s small plane. He is certain the fugitive Tyler Torrens is heading to the headquarters of Primewarrior to take revenge against its founder Nick Pruet….

Meanwhile, we see Tyler on his way to South Dakota with the mystery box, having hitched a ride with a concerned trucker….

Back at the ruins of David Colton’s cabin, Nuke is being rebuked for disobeying orders and Professor Ash identifies a diagnostic device for a Stark medical arc reactor. He calls Pruet to warn him about Dave Colton’s new heart and the others on their way….

Then: Dave and Chuck pursued the fleeing Omar and Chuck collapsed from a heart attack. Dave followed him to the airport where he stood on the runway and allowed Omar’s small plane to crash into his shield and wreck itself. Dave returned to find Chuck dead….

Now: On their way to Primewarrior, Teri explains how she was trying to atone for her earlier deeds and then she dies. Colton asks Logan if he is planning to kill Pruet or hope he repents like Teri did….

Tyler arrives at Primewarrior’s front door and he tells the guards to let him in or he will destroy the Box that Pruet is so keen to get….

Then: Dave reports Chuck’s death to Doctor Saraf; Saraf admits that they knew the super-soldier process weakened the heart and that Chuck must have had some family history to account for his sudden death. Saraf assures Dave that his heart is good for five to ten years. Dave is shocked but Saraf tells him he is the sole survivor of the program, the new Captain America….

Now: Wolverine and David Colton arrive at the Primewarrior compound to find dead bodies everywhere. And then they face a new super soldier, a clone of Nuke, clutching the unconscious Tyler in one hand and the Box in the other….
