Thanos will be the most powerful enemy the Avengers have ever met when the Infinity War film debuts in theatres worldwide, on April 27, 2018.
Yes. The "Mad Titan" - as he is called, is so mighty that not even Thor or Hulk could take him out single-handedly.
No... Defeating Thanos requires the whole Avengers team, and more...
So the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Dr Strange and Black Panther are among those who will join forces with the Avengers to try stopping the super villain from Saturn (more precisely, its moon Titan).
Does facing such a terrible menace worry our heroes?
Well, to four of them, it seems the answer is no.
A selfie taken by Dr Bruce Banner himself (Mark Ruffalo) with pals Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), Dr Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong), would suggest these heroes are not concerned but happy and eager to meet Thanos!
Well, the Infinity movie promises to be the best Avengers flick yet. So, why feel uneasiness? No matter how potent a varmint is, the good ones will always win, no?
...
Marvel Studios has yet to reveal the name of the 4th Avengers film, which is scheduled for next year...
Two Avengers pictures being released in consecutive years is very unusual.
But a one-year wait for a sequel is a fair amount of time, if it is conclusive.
So, they will present the Infinity War story in two instalments.
And most likely, Thanos would be the victorious party in the first...
Yep, it sucks.
Such a theory does not seem to alter those four heroes depicted in the selfie!
And neither should it trouble viewers.
Eventually, Thanos will fall. And heroes will prevail.
But at what cost? Let's hope it is not a tall one.
Note: Thanos first appeared in Invincible Iron Man #55 (Feb. 1973) where he fights the armoured hero and Drax the Destroyer (created by god Kronos to destroy the cosmic villain).
