Thor has assembled an army of the various races and peoples of the Nine Worlds to make a stand against the forces of Hela, Goddess of Death. Lady Mageth thanks Steve Rogers for taking their side in the coming battle; they kiss (to Iron Man’s amusement)—then Hela and her undead army attacks. While Steve and Tony hold off the hordes, Thor confronts Hela who sees herself as avenging all the wrongs of Odin and Asgard. After a violent melee, Hela stabs Thor though the stomach. A mysterious hooded figure heals Thor’s wounds, ignoring Hela’s vicious threats. The healer is the Enchantress who regrets having opposed Thor earlier and now realizes they must all unite against the Goddess of Death. She also reveals that Hela has the Twilight Sword; Thor regains his hammer and goes head-to-head with his enemy. She gets the worst of it and a sudden blast of Fafnir’s dragonfire takes her out completely. Thor claims the Twilight Sword and uses its power to restore the Nine Worlds to what they were before Hela found the Sword, resisting the temptation to do more. Amora sends the three heroes back to Earth (ripping Steve away from a final farewell with Mageth) and…
…they reappear at Heimdall’s shattered observatory, surprising the worried Avengers. Thor entrusts the Twilight Sword to Heimdall. Steve and Tony apologize to one another for all the bad blood between them (which Tony realizes was mainly his fault). And the reunited Avengers head on home.
