Avengers: X-Sanction #3 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

As the techno-virus spreads throughout Cable’s body, the Red Hulk’s finger slowly tightens on the trigger of his massive gun. Suddenly, Rulk is shot from behind by Blacquesmith with Gambit’s supercharged staff. The alien ally reminds Cable that he had warned him back in the future when they had found the ruins of Avengers Mansion. There they had discovered the inhibitor chairs, Stark’s Sentinel-based armor, Wolverine’s preserved skeleton and other signs that the Avengers had moved against the X-Men. Using Doctor’s Doom’s time machine, Cable came back to save his daughter Hope Summers….

Now Cable hits Red Hulk with a psi-blast but it wears him out. He blasts Rulk though the ship’s hull but the crimson giant returns and seizes Cable in a death grip. Cable infects Rulk with the techno-organic virus. Cyclops and Hope arrive, summoned by Blacquesmith to talk Cable out of his murderous revenge plans. As Scott tries to disarm the boobytraps on the inhibitor chairs, Cable threatens to shoot him. Scott pleads with his son to make peace but Cable counters with the need to do what it takes to ensure his daughter’s survival. As Hope intervenes, they are interrupted by the sudden arrival of Wolverine and Spider-Man….
