The captive Black Widow nearly falls apart from panic when
she learns that Sally Anne Carter is a prisoner of the bad guy. They leave
Sally alone with Natasha to say goodbye. Sally tells Nat she is the mother she
never had, a person who cared for her. And then Sally springs the big surprise:
she’s not a prisoner. And then Yelena Belova walks in, wearing a uniform. Seems
that Belova came to the rescue, her troops found the bad guy troops in the
jungle, killed them, took their uniforms, and walked into the facility the
easiest way they could—by pretending Sally was a prisoner. Natasha is freed and
heads out; Matt Murdock is there and wants to talk with her but Nat has some
more urgent business. She takes a gun and a knife and goes into the jungle
after Ferris and Kestrel. Nat catches up to them and challenges Ferris to a
knife fight as he has been wanting. Nat, tired, beaten, drugged, still kills
him within five seconds. Nat then calmly shoots Kestrel….
Returning to the facility, Nat meets Matt who wants
political asylum so she refers him to Belova. Bobby Campano asks to see her but
dies. They find about a hundred enslaved women, a dozen prisoners, and Dr.
Ochoa, a Chilean torture expert. Nat tells Belova to take them all back to Cuba
for a human rights trial that will make a good propaganda show for Castro
against the USA….
So Natasha and Matt Murdock stay in Cuba while President
George W. Bush makes a rousing patriotic speech on the need to fight the
terrorists….
