Black Widow (2014 series) #6

Below decks aboard Damon Dran’s boat, Black Widow is being beaten by his henchmen who she recognizes are scared and desperate. So she takes them all down and goes in search of Dran. She encounters Molot Boga, whom she thought dead, his body now repaired with steel plates, and as formidable as ever. After dodging him a bit, she kicks him in the groin and pushes him overboard where he sinks like a steel-plated rock. Nat finds Dran in his hyperbaric chamber when she tells him she has disabled the ship’s autopilot and steered it back toward shore where SHIELD takes over….

Back at SHIELD Headquarters, Maria Hill fills Nat in on Dran’s recent past: his “indestructible” parts starting to decay, he tried many methods of rebuilding himself, his paranoia growing. An agent brings him a hamburger, saying, “Chaos rains.” Dran unwraps the burger and gas pours out and Dran dies horribly, saying, “Chaos falls like acid rain.” The agent who gave him the burger shoots himself. Hill orders the building sealed off, while they try to learn how a trusted agent could have been turned. Hill asks Nat to take on this job as she is the only one Hill can trust. Nat doesn’t know if she can do this by herself….

In Brooklyn, Nat meets with her manager Isaiah Ross, who hands her a dossier with her next job in it. Outside, Clint Barton falls from a roof and lands on a car. Nat isn’t concerned, he’s done worse. Nat returns to her apartment and lets the cat come inside because sometimes you need someone else….
