Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of our Fathers (2010 series) #3 Review by (June 13, 2010)
Comments: The Black Panther is T’Chaka, father of T’Challa. The special task Cap is given by Fury does not become clear in this issue. On the final page, the Queen calls T’Challa, T’Chaka. Review: All-action issue has a little trouble keeping the scenes straight with its constant cutting back and forth but is otherwise exciting. Hope there’s a point in the final issue.

Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of our Fathers (2010 series) #3 Review by (July 4, 2011)
We learn that Azzuri is the name of the current Black Panther, T'Challa's grandfather. The White Gorilla is the leader of a rival tribe. Presumably the title and abilities go with the leadership, as the Panther's do. The modern villainous encumbent goes by the title Man-Ape, introduced in Avengers #62. He was originally described as a devotee of the banned Wakandan sect of the White Gorilla. But he and his sect were depicted as a tribe the Jabari in BP(1998)#34. Sgt Fury sends Gabe Jones unwillingly to steal some vibranium. He also gives Captain America a special mission which goes against the grain. We are never told what this unsavoury mission is, but next issue says it would have meant betraying Panther. Is he also to try to steal vibranium?
