Ben Urich and Sally Floyd meet the next day at a coffee shop; Sally is becoming increasingly bitter and paranoid about the Super-Human Registration Act while Ben advises her not to get so emotionally involved. They part company and Ben finds an anonymous note on his car, "Closer than you think".…

Sally again meets with the heroes in hiding as they plan how to link up with Captain America’s rebel faction. Suddenly they are invaded by a team of heroes led by Iron Man; armored SHIELD agents burst in and arrest everyone. Sally and a handful of heroes get away. Later she calls Ben to warn him that she may have been tracked there by the government who seem to be targeting reporters. As he walks home through an alley, Ben is confronted by the Green Goblin, angry over what Ben has written about him….
