The Maestro easily defeats every member of the Exiles team until Proteus, in the body of the 2099 Hulk, grabs the Maestro from behind and breaks his neck.

Morph attacks the 2099 Hulk and loses his metal implant. Without a second thought, Proteus leaves the 2099 Hulk’s body and possesses Morph. Satisfied with his new host, no longer needing the Maestro’s body, Proteus escapes to another reality.

Also in this issue: Longshot, Blink, 2099 Spider-Man, Sabretooth, Power Princess.
