Six Hours Part One

Synopsis

Hulk / Wolverine: 6 Hours #1 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

Wolverine is taking a long-needed vacation at his cabin in Quebec….

At an airport in the American North, Margie White is about to take off in her charter plane for Mistassini in Canada. Her passengers are Kyle Hatcher, a boy being send to camp against his will by his mother Christine; while packing he was bitten by one of his pet snakes. The other passengers are Whitie and Sid, two drug dealers who are on their way to a rendezvous in the north after Whitie murdered their buyer and took off with the cocaine and the cash. The last passenger is Bruce Banner in disguise, on the run from the authorities and having slugged the real passenger and taken his identity and his seat on the plane. Kyle falls ill and Bruce discovers he has been bitten by a snake; he calls Kyle’s home on the boy’s phone and learns from his mother that he was bitten by a Coral Snake, the maid having switched the tanks. Bruce tells Margie the pilot to divert to the nearest airport but Whitie orders her to continue the flight at gunpoint. Bruce intervenes and is hit over the head; when the baddies try to shoot him, it is already too late: Bruce has transformed into the Hulk and in his rage he wrecks the plane, sending it crashing into a river in the Mammoth Mountains. Logan is hiking nearby but tosses away his radio in a quest for solitude and misses the report….

Meanwhile, Kyle’s mother and stepfather learn that Kyle has only six hours to get an anti-venom or he will die….

Review / Commentaries

Hulk / Wolverine: 6 Hours #1 Review by (February 2, 2022)
Review: All-around nice miniseries with a compelling plot and suitable art, featuring one scary Hulk. The only debit is the cover which seems to balance scary and silly in equal measures; later issues would move into the silly side of the equation.

Comments: Story falls between INCREDIBLE HULK (2000 series) #54 and 55. Bruce Banner is an expert on snakebites.
