The Hulk leaves DC, but he is discovered in the Nevada desert by General Thunderbolt Ross, his Hulkbusters and Captain America. One of the General’s fighter planes drops an electric net over the Hulk and sends a strong energy beam that eventually makes him to pass out.

Using a potent tranquilizer, Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner. President Nixon demands the Hulk for his crimes (tearing down parts of DC, the death of Clegstead and all the earlier destruction that Hulk has inflicted).

Famous lawyer Matt Murdock (Daredevil) gets defending the Hulk.

Murdock goes to Las Vegas, meets General Ross and a drugged Banner. They board a plane to New York. Murdock convinces Ross to cancel the sedation so he can speak to Banner. But when Bruce realizes he is on an airplane, he turns into the Hulk.

Murdock calms the enraged Hulk down, promising he is a friend. But when the plane lands at JFK, S.H.I.E.L.D. is waiting with tanks, and the Fantastic Four (Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards, the Thing, Sue Storm the Invisible Woman, and Johnny Storm the Human Torch) are there as well. Hulk thinks Murdock has tricked him and, smashing his way out, he faces the FF!

Also in this story: Nick Fury, Peter Parker, J. Jonah Jameson.
