Synopsis

Iron Man #305 synopsis by T Vernon
Rating: 4 stars
Hulk faces Iron Man at the former Stane plant on a mission to ensure that it does not go back to manufacturing gamma bombs. Iron Man meets him in his Hulkbuster armor and attacks....

Abe Zimmer gives the name of the evil hacker to Bethany Cabe and intends to accompany her on her mission to capture him; Erica Sondheim refuses to allow Abe to put himself in danger and Beth prefers to do it alone....

The resultant battle of the titans is short and apocalyptic, ending when Hulk reveals that all he wanted to do was talk: it was Iron Man who started the fight. Together they demolish the plant and the Hulk suggests that Iron Man’s dependence on his weaponry blinded him to other solutions (and to “try decaf”). Tony, embarrassed to be lectured on non-violent conflict resolution by the Hulk, of all people, later tells his board that he’s shutting down Stark Enterprises....

Story 2:- The Hacker Crackdown

Pencils: Sergio Cariello. Other credits as the main story.

Bethany Cabe, tracking down PhilipRavenGrant, the hacker who compromised Stark's security, arrives at a bar called the Tech Noir and finds that Grant has set a trap for her: a pair of goons to take her down. She easily clobbers the thugs and forces them to tell her where Grant lives. She nabs him and forces him to accompany her to Stark Enterprises....

Review / Commentaries

Iron Man #305 Review by (December 24, 2018)
Comments: “Crash and Burn” part five of six. Issue includes a tribute to Jack Kirby who had just passed away. First use of Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor.

Review: A nice Iron Man vs Hulk battle is the centerpiece, along with Tony learning that he is always a bit of a jerk. The art still makes the faces look funny, notably the big nosed Hulk's and Bethany Cabe's. Especially Bethany Cabe's. The second story gives Bethany a chance to kick some butt but otherwise I don't know why it is a separate story—though the art is better than with the first one.
