The next morning he awakens and heads into he bathroom only to discover that Emily put make-up on him while he slept. Synopsis

By Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3.5 stars

After fantasizing about what he could do if he were a human spider, Gus shows us a comic he wrote and drew himself: Gus and Zabu are walking along when they are struck by lightning, trip over a microwave oven, and fall into a vat of chemicals. They are endowed with the power of flight and the ability to shoot lightning bolts out of their eyes. So Gus puts together a costume and he and Zabu becomes Marvel Kid and Marvel Dog. There is a sudden flash flood and the heroes destroy the rain clouds with their eye beams. They then discover Gus’ sister Emily stuck in a tree as the waters are rising. Marvel Kid first enters the house to save his comic book collection then they pluck Emily out of the tree and fly off. The waters are receding so Marvel Kid has Marvel Dog drop Emily in the water while he goes off to find a dry place to read his comics.
