Synopsis

Reborn #4 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

The Red Skull, accompanied by Crossbones and Sin, arrives in Latveria for a meeting with Doctor Doom. The Latverian monarch has been aiding Arnim Zola in recreating the time platform to recover the lost Captain America. Meanwhile, Sharon Carter, the "constant" needed for success, is in Norman Osborn’s custody….

Cap, unstuck in time, is now battling Madame Hydra and her minions, with Rick Jones at his side….

Reed Richards and Hank Pym have analyzed the tachyon gun and concluded that Cap is out-of-sync with our reality and Sharon is the key to bringing him back. At this point the Vision comes forward with the message Cap planted in his deep memory storage. The message confirms their hypothesis. Sharon’s blood contains chronal-tracers and since they have a sample of her blood they should be able to track Cap through time….

On a street, a team consisting of Captain America (Bucky), Black Widow, and Ronin assaults a HAMMER vehicle and they question the occupants about Sharon’s whereabouts….

Sharon, however, has been transported to Latveria where she is stunned to see the Red Skull alive. She is hooked to the machine and Steve, bitterly reliving Bucky’s "death" at the end of the War, is suddenly pulled through time at an increasingly fast pace, culminating in a merger with the Red Skull. Back in the lab, Cap rises from the table and Sharon calls out, "Steve!" "No…not Steve, I’m afraid. Not Steve Rogers at all…" is the chilling reply….

Reborn #4 Review by (May 19, 2010)
Odd that Cap’s quick journey through time doesn’t include memories of any girlfriends but Sharon; never would have though him such a cad.
