Red Hulk (2025 series) #8

At Project Alpha, Simon Ryker is continuing his experiments on Thunderbolt Ross when the alarm in his office goes off. Changing into War-Wolf, Ryker dashes to his office, finding the place a shambles. Doctor Doom is on the other end of the damaged communicator, informing him that First Sergeant Tamika Bowden has uncovered their secret and if she shares this intel with anyone else, Ryker’s life will be forfeit….

Meanwhile, Bowden, a/k/a Wildstreak frees Ross and they flee—then Ross’ heart gives out. Nearby, Machine Man and Deathlok are trapped in the tank containing the shark people and fighting for their lives. Deathlok loses consciousness from lack of oxygen. As Ross and Bowden reach the tank, War-Wolf catches up with them so Machine Man smashes the glass wall, the flood carrying them down the hallways. The good guys reach the helipad where Bowden punches out a guard and they hijack a copter. Deathlok and Machine Man converse, the cyborg a bit embarrassed that he needed MM to rescue him. Machine Man replies that Deathlok had earlier saved him and carried him when he was helpless as that is what friends do. Bowden revives Ross with an adrenaline injection. Ross directs them to the Pentagon, sending an emergency message that he wants to meet with the Secretary of Defense. As they reach Washington, they see a Hulkbuster aircraft coming. So Ross leaps out of the copter, changing into Red Hulk as he descends. He tears up the Washington Monument and wields it as a weapon against the enemy craft….
