Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Spectacular Spider-Man #15 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
A sudden loud humming noise brings New York City to a standstill. It signals the arrival by limousine of a beautiful woman in a clinging black gown, who seems to be controlling the minds of many in her vicinity. In their apartment Peter and Mary Jane Parker are chatting about television and what to do with the day when he detects the humming, which causes him to collapse with a nosebleed and sends his spider-sense ballistic. Downtown, the black-clad woman is heading down the streets with her new army of followers. They capture a building and begin transforming it into her hive. Peter, as Spider-Man, has traced the sound to its source and meets Captain America at the building. Cap suggest they go in low to minimize civilian casualties but the headstrong Spidey heads straight to the top for a direct confrontation, despite Cap’s warnings. At the penthouse, Spidey tries to web the woman, who calls herself the Queen but she forces his arm away with a gesture. Cap arrives but is prevented from taking actions by her mind slaves—but he calls her Ana, confusing Spidey. The Queen lets out a shriek that paralyzes Spider-Man and proceeds to peel back his mask to kiss him on the mouth….
