Tired of being hounded by men, Hulk furiously attacks a passing train causing a huge wreckage. Luckily, it was not a passengers train. As the drivers run away, Hulk enters the forest and falls to sleep.

Waking up as Bruce Banner, he discovers the train wreck, confirms the lack of casualties, picks up some clothes that fell from the train, and walks away. A newspaper article states that the Fantastic Four announced have discovered a cure for the Hulk. Excited by the news, Banner secretly boards a train to New York, the location of the FF headquarters. In the meantime, he writes some formulas that may aid Reed Richards and places them in a bag that ties to his waist.

When Banner reaches the Fantastic Four’s headquarters, security personnel mistreat him. As usual, anger turns him into the incredible Hulk!

Recognizing the building, Hulk climbs up through the elevator hole to the last floor. Informed of the Hulk’s presence, the Thing takes the elevator down to meet his longtime fight buddy. But the Hulk hits the elevator hard, throwing it (with Ben Grimm inside) through the terrace and out the sky.

When Hulk reaches the FF’s lobby, the Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic try stopping the green goliath from reaching the lab where the cure for Banner is waiting. During the fight, Invisible Woman notices a bag dropping from the Hulk, and grabs it. She finds the formula notes by Bruce, and passes them to her husband, who enters the lab.

The Thing returns in time to slow down the Hulk a little. Though not as strong, the Thing is smarter than his foe, and avoids the Hulk, who crushes through an exterior building wall, falling to the streets under.

The impact only slows the Hulk down, giving Mr. Fantastic time to nourish his sonic weapon with Banner’s formulas. He takes the shot and knocks out the Hulk!

Also in this story: Crystal, Thunderbolt Ross, Betty Ross, Glenn Talbot.
