A group of strangers to a dark mansion carries an unconscious Bruce Banner. When Banner wakes up, he discovers that the Undying Ones have selected the Hulk to serve them. They immobilize Banner with gas and put him through a ritual that sends him to the Negative Zone. The fanatics want the Hulk to kill the Night-Crawler, an enemy of the Undying Ones. Without him, the Undying Ones would access our planet with ease. The Night Crawler sees Banner, who is fighting back the transformation.

Meanwhile, on Earth, one of the Undying Ones servants, Barbara, is in disagreement with the ritual. The negative dimension also takes away Barbara, one of the Undying Ones’ servants. When the Night-Crawler recognizes her outfit belongs to the Undying Ones, he tries to kill her. So Banner turns into the Hulk and a brawl begins.

The Crawler uses his sceptre of shadow to fill his cosmos with darkness. Hulk gets pushed to a precipice and drifts helplessly because he cannot see. But he stops his fall by holding onto a floating island. Desperately, the green goliath hits the island with all his might, causing heat and light, adversely affecting the darkness effect, returning light to the negative realm.

Barbara breaks the Crawler’s sceptre with an energy stone, the only thing capable of breaking such a formidable weapon.

Hulk rescues the girl from the villain who attacks the Hulk using sonic waves. Hulk then resorts to his powerful clap to disperse the waves and cause the negative zone to rip apart.

Understanding the entire issue, the Night-Crawler holds the Hulk and Barbara within his immortal aura and travels to the universe of the Undying Ones. There, the Nameless One, leader of the Undying Ones, has Doctor Strange imprisoned. They are waiting for a star to line up to return to Earth and rule it again as they did millennia ago.

The Night-Crawler blames the Nameless Ones for the destruction of his cosmos since the Hulk was just a pawn in their scheme and attacks his hordes. This gives Barbara time to switch places with Doctor Strange. She sacrifices to pay to help the demons capture Banner.

Casting a spell, Doctor Strange returns with the Hulk to Earth before the demons can prevent this. Hulk turns back to Banner and leaves Doctor Strange in his Sanctum Sanctorum.
